What happens if COVID-19 restrictions affect my booking?

We will offer a no quibble, 100% refund on your booking or postponement without penalty if the UK Government imposes restrictions that cause any of the following:

The introduction of non-essential travel restrictions either within your specific region or a blanket nationwide lockdown is enforced over the dates you are due to travel.

Who can drive the Motor home?

Insurance can be provided for drivers between the ages of 25 to 75 years who have held a full licence for a minimum period of 3 years. All drivers are subject to approval by our insurers following pre hire licence checks. All our motorhomes are under 3.5 tonnes so can be driven using a standard licence.

Do I need a UK licence to drive the Motor home?

We can insure UK & Non UK licence holders between the ages of 25 to 75 years. There is an additional cost for drivers between the ages of 23 -25 and is subject to separate checks

Can I drive with points on my licence?

Yes but if you currently have more than 6 points we will not be able to provide insurance. An insurance surcharge will apply as per Convictions over 3 years old are not required to be declared unless you have received a banning order.

Is insurance included within the cost of the hire?

Yes you will be provided with fully comprehensive insurance for one driver. You may insure another driver at additional cost.

Can I obtain my own insurance for the motor home?

No, we supply the insurance to ensure an adequate level of cover is provided.

Can I take the motor home abroad?

Currently our motorhomes are only insured to operate within the UK.

What happens if I break down?

All our vehicles come with full RAC breakdown cover. Hire support is available if required.

Can I take a pet?

All our vehicles are pet friendly. A charge of £10 per day will apply

How many seat belts do the vehicles have?

There are 5 seat belts included in our 5 Berth and 4 seatbelts in our 4 berth

Do you have any automatic vehicles?

Our 5 Berth has an automatic gearbox and our 4 berth is a manual.

How old are the Motorhomes?

Our 5 berth motorhomes is a 2019 model whereas our 4 berth is brand new (70 plate).Both are regularly serviced and well maintained.

What time can I collect and return the motorhome?

Collection and return times are required to be agreed with our Depot Managers. Normally collection time is between 3.00 - 4.00 pm and return time is between 10.00 - 11.00 am. If you require times outside of that stated above please contact us as in most cases we can accommodate.

What do I need to collect the motorhome?

You will be asked to complete a handover document, vehicle inspection sheet and mandatory rental agreement. Finally a £1000 pre authorisation of a credit card is required to cover the insurance excess.

Can I leave my car at the depot?

Yes its possible to leave your car at our secure depot. For those customers living within a 15 mile radius of Bedford can opt to have the motorhome delivered subject to a small fee.

Do I need to pay a Security Deposit?

Yes a security deposit of £1000 will need to be paid on collection of the motorhome to cover the excess.

When will the security deposit be refunded?

A full refund will be issued on safe return of the motorhome minus any damage

Does the motor home have air conditioning?

No unfortunately our motorhomes do not come with air conditioning apart from in the cabin whilst the engine is running.

What else is provided in the motor home?

All items provided as standard can be found on our fleet page

Is there a cooker/hob and microwave?

Yes all our motorhomes come with a gas oven/hob and electric microwave

Is there a TV?

Yes there is a 22” TV with an internal DVD player included FOC with each Motorhome.

Is the gas supplied?

A full bottle of LPG is supplied FOC with each hire.

How many gas bottles are supplied?

1 x 6kg bottle of Calor Propane Gas

Can I use the electric sockets in the motor home if not attached to an electricity supply?

All the 13 amp sockets in the motorhome can only be used on an electrical hook up. The 12v supply is always available to charge phones etc from various USB connections

Is bedding provided?

Yes we provide all the bedding required for each hire.

Does the Motor home have a Satellite Navigation System?

We don’t unfortunately offer a Sat Nav as experience tells us that most customers just use the Maps on their Mobile Phones. A cradle is provided.

What happens if I forget what is shown to me on collection?

We supply a quick start guide prior to the pick up date which also has help links to supporting video demonstrations. Its recommended to refer to this guide during your trip if for any reason you’re unable to complete a particular operation.

What appliances work on gas within the motor home?

The following appliances work on Gas: Over, Grill, Hob, Fridge/freezer, Heating and hot water.

What are the benefits of hooking up to the mains electricity?

Peace of mind that you have all access to the 230v 13 amp plug sockets for things like hair dryers, Laptop charging etc.

You will also have use of the inbuilt Microwave. We would always advise requesting a pitch with both an Electrical hook up and potable water supply when booking your sites.

How many miles per gallon can I expect?

Approx 35 mpg depending on how economical you drive the motorhome

Is there a speed limit that applies when driving a motor home?

No. The same speed regulation apply to motorhomes as they do to a standard road vehicle. We advise that the motorhome is not driven in the fast lane of any motorways.

How do I return the motorhome?

The Motorhome needs to be returned to the same location from where it was collected in a clean and tidy condition with a full tank of diesel.

Do you supply awnings

Our 4 berth motorhome comes with its own factory fitted awning whereas there is an additional cost for one to be supplied with our 5 berth motorhome.

Do your vehicles have a tow bar?

Our Vehicles do not come with a tow bar.

Does the Motor home have a bike rack?

A bike can be provided at an additional cost. Each bike rack can hold a maximum of 4 bikes.

Can you provide baby/child seats and booster seats?

We have taken the decision not to provide either baby seats or booster seats.

Do you supply winter tyres?

The tyres on all motorhomes are those recommended by the manufactures and are checked between every hire to ensure they are fit for purpose.

Is the water provided safe to drink?

The fresh water tank will be filled to 50% with potable soft drinking water and is more than safe to drink.

Can I cancel and what charges are applied?

Yes you can cancel however please take into account that the booking fee Is non refundable. 10 weeks to 4 weeks: 50% of the hire cost 4 weeks to no show: 100% of the hire cost We reserve the right to amend our cancellation policy for certain events.
